Ivana Gillé
Born and raised in Dubrovnik, shaped by education in both Croatia and Germany, I bring over 30 years of creative experience to the table. Throughout my journey, I have experimented with countless materials and techniques, though painting remains my greatest love.
Every piece in this shop is a celebration of meticulous craftsmanship fused with fine art. My work lives far away from the mainstream—it is made to ignite individuality and authentic self-expression.
But why Histeria?
I was drawn to the word because of its misunderstood, allegedly negative reputation. Historically, its root lies in the Greek word for uterus (womb). A “madness” once attributed exclusively to women, named after the very organ where life itself begins, and famously “cured” with an orgasm.
Is there really a better word for raw, unapologetic creation?
